HOW WE WORK WITH DONORS

S3 Donations is about more than just receiving items — it’s about aligning donations with our projects and purpose.

We carefully select and accept items that can be used directly in our programs, support learning opportunities, or be resold to fund our cause.

We will discuss our needs with donors and only accept what we can deal with.

OUR APPROACH TO DONATIONS

w

  • Selective Acceptance – We do not accept everything. Items are chosen based on their relevance, quality, and ability to contribute to learning or sustainability outcomes.

  • Project-Driven Use – Donated items inform our projects, creating opportunities for education, skill-building, and community engagement.

  • Circular Economy – Where possible, we restore, repurpose, or recycle items, ensuring maximum benefit and minimal waste.

JEWELRY &

PRECIOUS METALS

We accept jewelry and precious metals as part of our Life Skills and creative training projects. These items are carefully sorted and used in different ways depending on quality and condition:

  • High-Quality Rings & Jewelry – Restored or repurposed. We may use an xTool device (or similar) to remove old engravings or add new ones, turning older items into something meaningful again.

  • Scrap Precious Metals – Reclaimed and recycled through hands-on reclamation classes, teaching members the value of resource recovery.

  • Annual Projects – Guided by a Master Goldsmith, participants will work on practical jewelry and metal projects at least once a year (subject to material availability).

This approach ensures donated jewelry and metals are not just stored or sold, but actively used to teach skills, foster creativity, and create unique items that support our cause.

CLOTHING

We welcome donations of vintage, designer, and high-quality clothing that can be resold or repurposed through our community programs OR MAKERS PROGRAMS.

While clothing is not our main focus, select items help raise funds and support our sustainability goals.

We avoid fast fashion, instead prioritising garments that hold long-term value for our members and projects.

PHONES & TABLETS

Donations of old phones and tablets provide opportunities for refurbishment, teaching, and digital literacy training. Where devices are repairable, they may be used in Life Skills workshops or offered to members in need.

We do not accept:

  • Devices that are locked to accounts (e.g., Apple ID or Google accounts).

  • Non-functional or beyond-repair devices.

We do accept:

  • Devices with issues that can support repair workshops (e.g., cracked screens on current-generation phones or tablets).

This ensures donations are practical, safe to use, and create meaningful opportunities for learning and reuse, while minimising e-waste.

Gaming Technology

(Laptops, Gaming PCs  & Gaming Consoles)

Get to Know Us

Gaming technology plays an important role in our S3 Gaming program, which promotes safe, structured, and inclusive play.

Donated laptops, consoles, and PCs may be refurbished for use in training, social programs, or fundraising activities.

These items help us create accessible gaming spaces while reducing barriers for members who may not otherwise have access to such technology.

Monetary Donations

Financial contributions, whether voluntary donations or funds raised through community activities, directly support our mission.

We also work with platforms like Good360 and Givit,

Where monetary donations may be used to secure essential items at reduced cost.

Every dollar  is  used to facilitate our programs that empower neurodiverse individuals and their families.

CARS & VEHICLES

Vehicle donations are welcomed where they can be used as project cars, teaching tools, or fundraising assets.

For example, we are currently seeking a Toyota Aurion or similar saloon vehicle to use in our Life Skills program as a teaching car.

Other donated vehicles may be repaired, repurposed, or sold to generate sustainable funding for our work.

PROPERTY DONATIONS

We may accept property donations that align with our mission and can be used to benefit the community.

Properties could serve as training venues, safe spaces for programs, or be sold to provide long-term financial sustainability.

Each donation is carefully reviewed to ensure it maximises community impact.

BITCOIN OR DIGITAL DONATIONS

We welcome Bitcoin and other digital donations as a modern way to support our mission.

Digital giving provides a secure, transparent, and accessible option for supporters who prefer cryptocurrency.

  • Flexibility – Donations can be made in Bitcoin or other widely recognised digital currencies.

  • Transparency – All digital donations are recorded and converted into funds that directly support our programs.

  • Future-Focused – Embracing digital donations allows us to connect with a wider community of supporters who value innovation and technology.

Every digital contribution, like traditional monetary gifts, is reinvested into Spectrum 3 INC programs, helping us deliver inclusive services and sustainable support for neurodiverse families.

BEQUESTS
(GIFTS IN WILLS)

Leaving a gift in your will to Spectrum 3 INC is a powerful way to create a lasting legacy.

Bequests ensure that our programs will continue to support neurodiverse individuals and families for generations to come.

Every bequest, large or small, strengthens our ability to provide inclusive services, reduce barriers, and build a sustainable future for our community.
