S3 COMMUNITY
SUPPORT
S3 Op Shop – A community-run shop that receives and resells donations, giving affordable access to clothing, household items, and more.
S3 Donations – Accepting goods and financial contributions from individuals and businesses to sustain our services.
S3 Creative Sales – Selling items made within our community programs like the Life Skills Program, with proceeds directly reinvested into our cause.
S3 MONTHLY OPSHOP
The Op Shop is a cornerstone of S3 Community, designed to support members with cost-of-living relief while fostering sustainability and community connection.
-
Once-a-Month Shop – Open to both new and existing members on the first Saturday of every month, where people can buy, swap, sell, or donate items.
-
Affordable & Inclusive – Provides access to affordable clothing, household goods, and other essentials, while encouraging recycling and reducing waste.
-
Members-Only Events – Special pop-up events may be scheduled when we have a significant number of items to distribute, ensuring our members benefit directly from large donations.
-
Community Spirit – Operates on a model of sharing, where items can move freely between families, reducing financial strain and promoting sustainability.
By running the Op Shop in this way, S3 Community not only eases household pressures but also reinvests proceeds and donations back into programs that support neurodiverse individuals and their families.
-
Selective Acceptance – We do not accept everything. Items are chosen based on their relevance, quality, and ability to contribute to learning or sustainability outcomes.
-
Project-Driven Use – Donated items inform our projects, creating opportunities for education, skill-building, and community engagement.
-
Circular Economy – Where possible, we restore, repurpose, or recycle items, ensuring maximum benefit and minimal waste.
S3 CREATIVE SALES
S3 Creative Sales provides a pathway for our members’ creativity and skills to directly support the community.
-
Community-Made Items – We sell items created within our programs, such as products from the Life Skills Program, craft projects, or upcycled goods.
-
Reinvestment into Our Cause – 100% of proceeds are reinvested into S3 Community initiatives, ensuring that every purchase directly supports neurodiverse individuals and their families.
-
Learning Through Doing – Creative sales activities double as practical training opportunities, giving participants hands-on experience in design, production, and small-scale commerce.
-
Showcasing Talent – Provides members with a platform to share their work, build confidence, and demonstrate the value of their skills.
By turning creativity into sustainability, S3 Creative Sales transforms community effort into lasting impact.
